I'm a male, 6'1", and play first base in a competitive slow pitch softball league. I was tired of having my shins beat up (I'm an aggressive player) so I searched for lightweight shin guards and came across these. They are perfect! They were super easy to mold and since they're molded to your own shin...they are very comfortable. I put them under my socks, which held pretty tight, but I think I'll still purchase those shin guard straps you can buy for $5-6. That's just me. They do come with compression sleeves, but I have skinnier legs so my socks were a better choice to hold them in place. I just like my equipment tight to my body...hence the straps. I highly recommend these to anyone looking to protect their shins. Evoshield is a top name company and they show that in their products.

they work.... To me they are not as hard as the wrist guard but that may be by design for movement. Overal they work good

My daughter recently received a 50 mph pitch to her calf shin area. She had another tournament to play in a couple weeks later. She could run and do everything she normally does but there was still some localized swelling in the area she was hit and was painful to the touch. I wanted something that would form around the swollen area instead of putting pressure on it. We put the pads on as per the instructions and sure enough it worked like I thought it would. She wore it all weekend and it didn't affect her pitching, running or batting. GREAT product
