EvoShield, Autism Speaks Release Three New Guards

Learn about the latest additions to the Love the Moment collection.

In conjunction with World Autism Month, EvoShield and Autism Speaks teamed up to release a trio of new Pro-SRZ™ 2.0 batter’s protective guards to share a message of inclusion and acceptance for people with autism. The new Pro-SRZ™ 2.0 Batter’s Elbow Guard, Double Strap Elbow Guard and Leg Guard join the EvoShield Sliding Mitt to expand the Love the Moment® collection of on-field equipment. This collection of equipment showcases Autism Speaks’ signature gradient blue to purple branding, and EvoShield is using the Love the Moment partnership with Autism Speaks to foster a more inclusive world where all people with autism can reach their full potential.

EvoShield and Autism Speaks initially partnered to create on-field products in 2021. Since then, the collection has grown to include Pro-SRZ™ 2.0 protective gear – the same equipment beloved by Major League Baseball players. The newest elbow and leg guards highlight the Love the Moment logo on the straps. EvoShield is proud to support Autism Speaks and will donate 10 percent of the purchase price of all Love the Moment products to the organization’s efforts. Together, EvoShield and its sister brands Wilson and Louisville Slugger, have committed a minimum donation of $150,000 each year to Autism Speaks.

Michael Markovich, EvoShield’s Global Commercial Director, said the partnership with Autism Speaks has garnered support from thousands of ballplayers who love the on-field equipment and its cause.

“In order to generate even more funds for Autism Speaks’ mission of increasing inclusion, awareness and research, we continue to offer new products every year, including the new EvoShield Pro-SRZ™ 2.0 guards and sliding mitt,” Markovich said. “We’re also encouraging our distribution partners to join us in the mission to create a nationwide community more welcoming of all people on the spectrum and their families.”

EvoShield’s donation this year to Autism Speaks will help increase advocacy and support, provide reliable information and resources, and advance research into needs and better interventions with the goal of helping people across the autism spectrum and throughout their life span. With an estimated one in 36 children and one in 45 adults in the U.S. affected by autism, Autism Speaks is working to create a world where all people with autism can reach their full potential and live life to the fullest.

Autism Speaks Graphic reporting autism affects 1 in 36 children and 1 in 45 adults.

About the Love the Moment Collection

The Love the Moment Pro-SRZ 2.0 Batter’s Elbow Guard is formed with Gel-to-Shell® Technology for a custom fit. With a single strap to secure the guard in place, this staple elbow guard offers superior protection for batters in all levels of play.

The Love the Moment Pro-SRZ 2.0 Batter’s Double Strap Elbow Guard is formed with Gel-to-Shell Technology for a custom fit, and it extends up the arm for increased protection. Two straps secure the guard in place, ensuring this best-selling guard can protect the elbow and triceps from inside pitches.

The Love the Moment Pro-SRZ 2.0 Batter’s Leg Guard uses a pair of Gel-to-Shell Technology shields for custom protection on the lead leg and top of the foot to guard against foul balls off the shin and leg. Guards are available in left-handed and right-handed models to suit every type of hitter.

The Love the Moment Sliding Mitt, released in 2022, is fashioned with two protective shields and a supportive wrist strap to safeguard the hand while sliding on the base paths. Gradient logos fade from blue to purple, and the Love the Moment branding appears on the compression wrist strap.
