In our unwavering commitment to player safety and performance, we were proud to release the XVT 2.0 Batting Helmet. Building upon the success of our previous model, the XVT 2.0 offers premium protection and extreme comfort. We incorporated the external style of our previous popular helmets, so the XVT 2.0 will seamlessly blend with your team’s current gear in the dugout.

The standout enhancement of the XVT 2.0 Batting Helmet is the addition of lightweight dual-density padding. Strategically placed for your comfort and durability, the sleek padding also has fully wrapped ear pads. Furthermore, the anti-microbial treated foam and fabric also remove bacteria and odor.

Andrew Tryner, EvoShield’s Industrial Design Manager, spoke on these improvements to the batting helmet.

“The XVT 2.0 is the most protective and comfortable helmet we’ve had,” Tryner said. “The layout and design of the pads optimizes safety and comfort on the head.”

In addition to enhanced padding, the helmet offers a strategically engineered top plate venting system. The venting at the top of the helmet helps with temperature regulation and moisture build-up, so you feel fresh when you step up to home plate.

The Helmet also corrected our sizing of the helmet compared to the first iteration of the XVT helmet. With updated feedback and rigorous testing, our helmet fits now like previous versions have and is more in line with standard helmets across the industry.

The helmet is available in a gloss or matte finish, providing you with two sharp options. With three versatile sizes to choose from – Small/Medium, Medium/Large and Large/XL – you can choose the size that makes you feel the most secure. See below for our size comparison chart compared to the first iteration of the XVT Helmet.

Whether you prefer a snug or looser fit, the overlapping sizes allow you to find the most comfortable helmet. On the softball side, we also have the XVT 2.0 Glossy Batting Helmet with Facemask and the XVT 2.0 Matte Batting Helmet with Facemask.

In addition to the three current sizes, we’ll also be rolling out a brand new XS small size. It will be aimed at fitting underserved players, young and old, with head sizes 6 ½ and under.

“We started with a new low-profile helmet shell for the XS to keep players looking good, keeping weight down, and keeping the helmet breathable rather than just stuffing more padding into an oversized shell and sending them out there looking like bobbleheads,” Tryner said.
