#EvoGeneral Jalil Farooq, the Wide Receiver for the Oklahoma Sooners, has established himself as a force to be reckoned with on the football field. The Lanham, Maryland native will be an important piece on a talented Oklahoma roster this upcoming season, proudly wearing his EvoShield Compression Rib Shirt.

Farooq had multiple impressive achievements in high school at Dr. Henry A. Wise Jr. High School. He led his team to a perfect 15-0 record and clinching of the Maryland 4A State Championship his junior season. This impressive season earned him the honor of MPSSAA All-State First Team selection.
His fantastic high school career caught the attention of multiple elite college football programs such as Alabama, Oklahoma, Clemson, and LSU. Farooq was also the 109th overall ranked player nationally on ESPN, showing his potential at the collegiate level.
The University of Oklahoma ended up being the landing spot for Farooq. After his first two seasons in college, he has an excellent 21-11 record with the Sooners. Last season he recorded 466 receiving yards on 37 catches and ranked third on his team in receiving touchdowns.
Farooq’s role and impact on the team will be even bigger during the 2023-2024 season. The Sooners will rely on his athleticism and versatility to put them in contention for the Big 12 regular season championship, along with teammate and fellow EvoGeneral Dillon Gabriel.
